The Expedition Denali NOLS trip was a huge success. Including media and support crew we got 19 people to 19,600 feet (only 700 feet shy of the top!) and were only thwarted from reaching the summit due to a crazy electrical storm, the likes of which one park ranger who has worked there for 15 years said he has never seen. I could hear electricity in my ears… needless to say everyone was happy to just get back down safely. Distill has released a great teaser for the Kickstarter backers (that includes a bunch of my shots!) and we’re all eagerly awaiting to see what they produce for a documentary over the next year.

Wind & Rattlesnakes finally premiered last month at Lander’s annual climbers’ festival. We packed the house at the high school auditorium and people were psyched! Next step, submitting it to the festivals!

2012 was good. Here are some things I made. 2013 is also shaping up well. I am working on wrapping up my biggest project of life so far. Track the progress of ‘Wind & Rattlesnakes‘ a documentary about climbing in Lander, Wyoming. And… I’m heading to Patagonia next week for two months to film NOLS courses. Then in June I should be joining Expedition Denali (the 1st vid below) in climbing Denali, the highest peak in N America. Happiness.
Cut this short promo for Elemental Training Center here in Lander. I just use the climbing wall at the gym but the group workouts look pretty fun too!
All those years of listening to dance music are finally paying off. Paid DJ gig at the bar, weekend after thanksgiving, gobble gobble!
To match a catalogue and website redesign we’ve cut a new marketing piece for NOLS that highlights some of our core beliefs and the way students end up benefitting from those values.
Had a bunch of fun filming Lander locals climbing at some of the most beautiful crags around Lander. I debuted this last week at our local Reel Rock showing where we had around 80 people show up and raised over $700 to support local bolting efforts!
